I recently visited here twice during our va-cay up to Noosa. It was our first stop once we checked into our hotel, and to be honest, we couldn't have started the trip any more perfectly. The set up is just divine, right on the beach, feels like you're sitting in a friend's back verandah...with a few other people. We had gorgeous cocktails and I had some ridiculously delicious chicken with coconut curry risotto & bok choy. Wowee.
The second visit, was one of the most memorable dinners I've had. We were told over and over to get the seafood pasta for two. DO IT!! I only wish I could upload a photo to show how good it was, think: mussels, squid, fish, prawns, bugs, THE LOT with linguini and an out of this world olive oil sauce (okay my explanation doesn't do the dish any justice!). Again, just DO IT. We were sooo full too, would easily fill up two grown men. Only tip is to book, they take their popularity pretty seriously - so to rock up dumbfounded, thinking you can just walk in seems to take them by surprise.

Busy every night so they must be doing something right. I had a duck and pineapple curry dish and it was amazing. The wine list is also reasonably priced. The food portions are so big that we didn't have any room for dessert. I'd love to go there during the day to take advantage of the view. Great for couples although it does become quite crowded.

This would be the busiest bistro on Hastings Street, and it is no accident. Whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner, this place does it all and well. Great place for brunch or a long lunch. some of the staff could do with an attitude adjustment, but that probably comes with the pressure of such a busy bistro.

This is one of my favourite restarants in Noosa. It's right on the water and I have spent many a Christmas and Boxing day here with family and friends. Great food and considering it's right on the beach, excellent value. They also do great cocktails and happy hour 'buckets' of Corona's.

Location, location, location sums up this all-day bistro. Spilling out on to the boardwalk at Hastings St, Bistro C is a casual venue offering modern Australian cuisine and quirky artwork. Louvered windows catch the breeze and the surf rolls at your feet. Kick back and enjoy the cosy bar, fresh and varied cuisine, and the reasonably priced wine list. Portions are generous and the specials blackboard changes daily. Bookings are essential for dinner.

Whether you stroll in from the sand for breakfast or join friends for lunch, it’s hard not to be impressed by this bright, surfside location. Dayle Merlo’s seasonal menu offers such morning delights as corn fritters, avocado salsa and bacon. For lunch, the seafood curry is legendary, while at night, try gorgonzola polenta bianco, cress and pomegranate salad. Mains average: $27.
