This beautiful classic French bistro is located in Toorak. The decor and ambiance is very Parisian, but with friendlier service. The menu runs the gamut of traditional French cuisine and is printed in French and English.

I went here for a friends birthday on Wednesday night and had the most absolutely amazing meal! The whole experience was divine, from the service (impeccable) and the food (the French Onion soup was incredible, the snails and Veal Shanks amazing - and desserts to die for) to the wonderful wine list which included a complete array of all-price French and Australian wines. The interior is gorgeous too with french paintings, posters and photographs everywhere on burgundy coloured walls. It was completely packed, which I hear it usually is so a good idea to book. Highly recommend this restaurant as a essential Melbourne experience.

As always, your dishes were wonderful. Always a pleasure to bring guests to dine, knowing the menu and wine list are reliably good. Even nicer when I can be accompanied by a special lady and trust that she will be treated courteously on her birthday, by those waiting our table. We had a perfect, comfortable evening. An experience not to forget, thanks to management and staff.

Bistro Thierry is a truly authentic French bistro nestled in the heart of Toorak. The ambience is very chic and inviting making it the perfect place for dinner or just a glass of real Champagne. The impressive French wine list also includes some great Australian varietals, but the cuisine is strictly French. Expect classics like snails, boeuf Bourguignonne, and chocolate souffl as well as more modern dishes and daily specials. A special lunch menu is available for $30 that includes two courses and a glass of wine.
