Quite a popular place so if you are looking for that quiet little hangout to have a drink and a chat with friends you may not like Bistrode CBD. Better suited to proviate corporate functions or lunches

Not the best choice for a Friday night dinner, as it was relatively quiet. The Setting is nice as are all Merivale premises, semi fine dining. The menu was older style, I had pigs head terrine with pigs ear, for a main wagyu steak with a side of marrow, all cooked perfectly. The service was good, very attentive but probably somewhere I'd go for a corporate lunch.
  • Average food, but the service is worse in my opinion. I booked a special beer-matching dinner which was advertised at $50 per head, only to be charged an extra $20 for the beer! Following the evening I received a voicemail from a senior staff member to call them back; when I did and left a message, they didn't call me back. I'll leave CBD Bistro off my dining list from now on.

Food is pretty good. It can be a little noisy with the wooden floorboards and the bar downstairs on a Friday night.
