We were introduced to Black Lime by a couple of friends, and we have been regulars ever since. The restaurant is absolutely huge, with great modern decor. The staff are very friendly, and the menu is great with lots of choice. Sometimes the food can take a while to come out, but it is worth the wait. It is a great place to go with a big group of friends for a meal. Black Lime has a voucher in the current 'Entertainment Book', so make sure you take it with you for a discount on what is already an affordable restaurant!

This restaurant has so much appeal in the decor - and the menu reads well with interesting choices.
My husband had their beef burger and was very impressed - though the chips were just plain old chips - there was no complaints from him.
I ordered the Mushroom and Duck Risotto - rice was perfectly cooked and there was a decent amount of duck too - BUT there was more pepper flavour than anything else. Pepper did overpower my dish - but I am thinking if I ordered it again I wld just ask for no pepper.
We would dine here again - it is kid friendly too - - not too stuffy but not bistro either - good dinner!

We were invited to this restaurant with some family/friends, and were very impressed with this little "gem". The service is prompt and extremely friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and any request (even if it seems strange to others) is happily accomodated. The food is fantastic with generous servings, and is reasonably priced.

We particularly enjoy the duo on a Thurday night, particularly the interaction they have with you. The decor is modern, and has a refreshingly relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We have visited on a few occassions and will definately be back. It is well worth a visit and we highly recommend it to anyone.

Just what Ringwood needs a family restaurant not attached to a pokies venue. Great food, friendly courteous staff in a fresh, clean, cool atmosphere. Have visited on a number of occasions and each time have come away more than happy.

The acoustic duo on a Thursday night are definitely a highlight (so do yourself a favour).
Also great to see a restaurant where the people who run the venue own the venue very approachable with ideas and suggestions. Try that next time your at a Costello's or Tabaret.
Lovely to again see a family run business where all are involved.

Menu is great but also great atmosphere for after work drinks - great range of cocktails.

Good luck guys we will certainly recommend your venue to all our friends and have already done so..

Me and my partner went there the other week and the meals were pretty general. I found them pretty poor quality with no taste. My partner had a $36 ribeye and 1/3 of it was just plain fat. We wont be going back there.

It's just smokin' joes with a paint job. No atmosphere whatsoever. However the food was very nice and staff were lovely.

Had dinner here last night (Saturday 19th). Absolutely perfect, finally an upperclass dining experience in Ringwood. I ate the most amazing lamb strap and my partner continues to rave about her Salmon into today. Cudos goes to the General manager and the Head Chef for an amazing place to visit. Food was sent out quickly and was amazed at the waitress who we had (short redish hair) again, cudos for an amazing place!!

We had a table of 6 on a Saturday night. Service was reasonably quick and very friendly. Dips and bread shared was very good. Around the table the mains ordered included the calamari, gnocchi, black lime burger, and a fish plate (either the grilled flathead fillet or a special). All the mains were good and enjoyed except my burger - the first bite showed that it was rare to uncooked inside. The manager tried to explain that it was meant to be that way because it was premium beef (I've never heard that one before), but did substitute the creamy chicken pasta and had it out to me very quickly. I was disappointed because the burger tasted great at the first bite, but I won't risk eatting undercooked ground/minced beef. The beef burger should be either cooked better or flagged on the menu as being served rare.

I was at Black Lime last night. I had the honey pumpkim chicken risotto and it was perfect! I loved the honey pumpkin, gives a great taste to the rest of the dish. The duo was amazing, was great to enjoy some light music during my meal. Had the chocolate mousse for dessert and ohhhhhhhh was fabulous! Toblerone, best cocktail on the list, and the manager is great with his bottle spinning! The service was great, can't wait to go back and bring all my friends. Would recommend to everyone.

    Just what Ringwood needs!
I was there for dinner recently and had the atlantic salmon, while my dinner guests had the moroccan lamb salad and the kangaroo fillet. Not one of us had a complaint! The salmon was perfectly cooked. Such a great summer dish. As is the moroccan lamb salad. The lamb was so tender and the dressing creamy, yet refreshing. The kangaroo was cooked medium rare, so tender and tasty!
The servers were friendly and the restaurant itself is really modern and cool. I will definitely be going back.
