    I went to Blu Grotto for breakfast on a promotional voucher. Never been before, looking forward to going back. Had read a few negative reviews so was quite surprised to find the staff were very attentive, without be intrusive, accomodating and friendly. The food was excellent (although the coffee not that great unfortunately). We look forward to going back sometime soon!

    A good choice for a relaxing place to meet with friends for a special occasion or a casual catch-up of a weekend. The prices were a little expensive but the food was delicious and well presented, and was served quickly despite how busy the place was. It is french cuisine predominantly. The menu is interesting and varied, and provides a welcome alternative to many other places if you are looking for something a little different to tempt the tastebuds. That said, the coffee was bitter and there is little ambience, possibly due to its location.

    Well its intersting vesta's experince - totally different to the experieces I have had a blu grotto. Not sure vesta understands what classic french desserts are all about -- they are very subtle in flavour and exquisite whic is totally different to teh bold over flavoured aussie desserts- teh atmosphere and friendliness of the staff are always exceptional whenever I have been to the grotto and to me its very much like having a relax in my lounge - i will continue to go back - great atmoshpere and food.

    The food... where should I start? If you like spending $25 on a chicken and Avocardo salad that you could have made better at home... for less then this is the place for you. OR even better the pork dumplings... $16 and you get the TOTAL of two.

    GOSH what else is there... poor lighting... an atmosphere with no ambiance.. exceedingly long waitntimes on food even though there is not much going on in the resturant

    And to finish, the grand finale... VALENTINES DAY. The biggest and best day of the year for hospitality... hmmm $55 a head... for a entree main and SHARED DESERT. All of which have no flavour in my opinion..

    If you are into the following, then please eat at the Blu Grotto:

    1) Having your waitress argue with you that you did in fact order the meals that you didn't order - always a treat;
    2) Having an additional staff member intervene in order to augment the initial waiting staff's position (even though they were nowhere to be seen when you ordered) - insult to injury;
    3) Having staff insist that you pay for a meal that you never ate - further insult to injury;
    4) Having the restaurant insist that the waitress was accurate in taking down an order that was far removed from what you did order;
    5) Having to chose between writing off your money and accepting a voucher for $50 to dine again at an establishment that treats you with utter disdain.

    Hmmm think twice (x7) before you consider dining at the Blu Grotto.

    Dominating the corner in Rosalie’s burgeoning café precinct, Blu Grotto is hard to miss, with its wraparound al fresco frontage and neon-blue shingle. The bar inside, with its good wines and fun cocktails, has become a local stop-off point. Plenty of effort also goes into the food, which can be enjoyed in the outdoor dining area. Chef Andrew Stockwell learnt his craft at Ayers Rock Resort, and among his range of tapas and mains is char-grilled kangaroo salad, honey and cinnamon infused, served on sweet potato crisps, danish fetta and cranberries. Mains average: $22.
