This is a restaurant I recommend to all my friends when I have the chance. The quality of the food makes up for the simple decor this cosy restaurant has. Whilst awaiting your food (and cocktail from their rather extensive list..!) you're given a portion of cornbread with absolutely amazing honey butter. The wings are my absolute favourite, and I generally go for 'Blue Hot' sauce, which have a wonderful kick! They also have 'Third Degree Burns' sauce but I am certainly not game to try them! The first time I visited I couldn't decide between three items so ended up getting a combo/share meal with all three included; two different types of ribs and some rolled pork. All by myself! I ate most of it and practically rolled out of the restaurant! Both times I've visited I've had great service. Although, unfortunately the last time I visited they didn't have all the deserts from their menu so I was unable to try one of those. Probably better for my waistline though...!

Awesome restaurant... Eaten here at least 5 times now and takeaway a few more. Pretty much everything is great on the menu, but the baby back ribs are the best!
Service can be somewhat patchy but I've certainly had worse.

AMAZING FOOD!!!! This the second time I have been to Blue Smoke and I found the service to be terrible the last time but the food made up for it. This time we went on Thursday the 18th of November and sat outside with a fantastic waitress who couldn't do enough for us. The food was spectacular! I am from Canada and have many opportunities to eat good BBQ and this place is right up there. The ribs were excellent and the hot wings were great. My wife had a salad that she said was delicious. All washed down with with a Budweiser. Don't bet on great service just great food.

great food but the service is absolutely atrocious.

Even when you call to book they are rude and unhelpful - let alone forgetting drink orders, dumping the baskets of bread (or the buckets to put your wings in) on the table, not to mention being rude when asked for an extra serviette.

If you serve buffalo wings, people will always need extra serviettes, that's why in the US they give people bibs and handwipes.

Go for the food, but seriously - even if you try to be super nice to the staff they are all pretentious and rude - good luck.

I was recommended to come here and brought my boyfriend who loves Ribs. We were both dissapointed. The service was poor, the food wasnt impressive, it seemed that staff were only interested in flirting with a table of people and not serving everyone else in the restaurant. Won't be going back.

I was recommended to eat here by a couple of friends but was quite dissapointed. The food was okay but for the price you pay, I expected better. Inside it is quite cramped and the staff seemed more interested in having a good time themselves than making sure that their customers did.

Authentic American ribs, best in town! The buffalo wings are delicious, go on tuesday when you can get double for free! When you are feeling hungry this is the place to go. Friendly staff, fun atmosphere.

One of the best American style cuisine. The spicy chicken wing is a great opener, I love the complementary cake too. The only pity is that some of the smoke BBQ is too dry. The spare ribs is quite nice. Staff are friendly, atmosphere is nice, book first.

Andrew graduated from Churchie in 1979 and went jackarooing, encouraged to do so by his father, a towering figure in the Queensland wool industry. "I got thrown off a horse before dawn every day for a month," he says, wincing at the memory.

His bush sojourn was intended to be for just one character-building year before he went to uni. But Andrew is still there beyond Cunnamulla, drawn Voss-like to a nirvana of nothingness. In the remote corners of this state he has discovered what he regards as the quintessential Queensland cuisine, often cooked on a wood stove by a grazier's wife in a blue floral frock. Shins and necks, offal and ribs - nothing wasted. Whole roasted shoulder of mutton, poached brains, corned beef, lamb curry and bullocks' hearts, not to mention poultry and pigs. "Nothing at all like restaurant tucker," said Andrew. We had gathered at Blue Smoke BBQ at New Farm in inner-city Brisbane to sample what is said to be another authentic dining experience, this time Southern Americanstyle. Read the menu with a Southern drawl: hickory smoked Texas ribs, Memphis pork ribs, Kansas chicken, North Carolina pulled pork plate, racks of lamb, and the Blue Smoke wagyu burger with cheese, bacon, onions, lettuc...

Following in the footsteps of its famed New York namesake, this is the only place in Brisbane where you can get an American barbecue smoked in-house. Among Steve Curry’s offerings are the buffalo chicken wings with blue cheese and celery, hickory-smoked Texas beef barbecue ribs; and spinach and artichoke dip with tortilla chips, sour cream and salsa. Even the Seattle-style salmon is smoked on site. The big flavours sit comfortably in an attractive cornflower-blue setting with dark wooden tones. Bring a big appetite and be ready for a barbecue experience unlike any Aussie version.
