    For a small pub, the Blues Point Hotel manages to be a lot of things to a lot of people.

    For a small pub, the Blues Point Hotel manages to be a lot of things to a lot of people. It's a true local - pool tables, TAB, pokies and a smattering of tradesmen and older, solo men propped at the bar for a beer and a smoke. It's also a favourite lunch spot for the advertising, media and marketing types who work at McMahons Point. And the tiny restaurant tucked away at the back attracts couples and groups of friends for the good quality but reasonably priced mod Oz menu. Combining more than one style of bar into one establishment has its advantages: it's possible to enjoy a quiet dinner in the dimly lit Blues Point restaurant, while still being able to see the footy on a plasma screen in the adjoining bar. And with multiple screens, fans of all codes are satisfied. The disadvantage is that you can also hear faint strains of My Sharona coming from the jukebox as well as the off-key warbles of people singing along.
