Came here for lunch the other day with work. The service was friendly and very attentive. Great tasty pizzas! I had an amazing raviloi dish that melted in my mouth. I can see why this place is a favorite of so many, I will be back, great hospitality ! :)
step on in to an oasis. bluestone has a swanky yet relaxed decor. The food & service follows this same suit. Pizza's, salads, breads...all done with flair & done well. The service is also swanky, with lots of "sirs", "madams", but then its relaxed & easy. If you want a quick bite that is tasty & doesnt break the bank, come into bluestone & escape. Its worth it
What a discovery! Bluestone is a haven of excellent food served by professional, welcoming staff in such a cosy, but elegant, atmosphere, it makes you glad you've stepped off the busy city streets. From the minute we walked in, we knew we were in good hands. We were genuinely welcomed - and pretty well pampered from beginning to end.
I really love going to restaurants where the operators really know what they're doing. Life's too short for worrying. Our visit flowed seamlessly, from entrees right through to a stunning Bluestone dessert platter (with a wickedly good, roulade-version of a super Strawberry Pavlova) and a generous splash of dessert wine from the rolling hills of Tuscany - an apt end to a dining experience that took us through so many exciting, different food experiences. It was like a breath of fresh air!
We dined in the restaurant, but I also took a wander around the downstairs lounge/bar and it too was inviting, kind of eclectic and groovy, with all these different little sections you can tuck away in. I hear the wood-fired pizza's excellent, so we've booked in to try it, along with a few other tempters, like the Seafood Jambalaya that caught my eye. Too good!
I'm REALLY fussy and I absolutely LOVED everything about Bluefire. I found them by accident and was so happy that I had. I cannot fault a thing. Expensive, but I don't care when it's such high quality I'm just sorry they don't open Christams Day because I would have booked!
This is my new favourite place to dine.
The Bluestone Restaurant is quite expensive, but it is a great place to go for a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary. The food here is divine and the staff are very attentive but they do not hover over you.
A rather classic yet contemporary set up combined with a very friendly staff, good wine and a fantastic food will definitely be the recipe for a restaurant that will always meet your expectations. Recommended for any occasion. Price - not bad.
Very formal and pleasant atmosphere for an intimate dinner or a formal corporate lunch. The environment is quite relaxed, and is to be enjoyed. I had the Veal which was almost perfect. Service was great. Not a good place to dine if your in a bit of a rush (or if your time is limited).
The food was good quality and all food was presented to the table at the same time - that's about where the good points end for this restaurant.
This is a top-end restaurant, and for the price you pay for food and wine, I would've expected a more personal service.
When we were seated, the waiter asked us if we wanted water for the table - we said yes, then he started pouring sparkling water from a bottle - without clarifying whether we wanted still or sparkling or letting us look at the prices/options in the menu. This one bottle of sparkling water was $12 on the bill.
The menu was too small, with only one vegetarian option.
The waiter at our table changed 3 times during the meal.
The bottled wine list was huge, and the wine available by the glass tasted cheap, but was hugley expensive.
