This is a great spot for a drink and a light meal, and awesomely relaxed for somewhere that's right in the middle of the buzz of Campbell parade, and has a really great view you'd expect it to be too busy and hectic to be relaxing, but it usually has a pretty chilled out vibe (especially compared to the street below, which just gets nuttier by the minute as you watch). The half price tapas are really good value, and it's definitely worth checking out for those in the late afternoon/early evening, when Bondi is at its prettiest. But the service every time I've been has been a bit hit and miss, and it can really have an impact on the whole experience. Last time we waited ten minutes just for menus and a drinks list, and then again for drinks to arrive (tap beers, so those shouldn't have taken too long), and again for someone to come back and take our tapas order. But all in all, this is a really good find for Bondi, and if you have the time and are in a relaxed mood (which you should be, you're at the beach!) then you should check it out for sure. -
I'm always surprised that Bondi Social is never busier. The food is so great and the views are outstanding. There's always a few people there when I drop in but never REALLY busy. I feel like everyone knows about it but just forgets it when they're looking for somewhere to have a drink/meal.
The tapas are so tasty and surprisingly cheap! Even cheaper when they're half price!
It's such a diverse place that can so easily cater for a quiet and intimate couple or a big group of loud girls out for a long lunch.
Definitely a personal favorite and although well known, still seems to be a secret little gem. -

The food at Bondi Social is fantastic. I can highly recommend the $50 degustation menu, it is both varied and plentiful. The chefs clearly know their stuff. It's just a shame that the shabby service and night club volume music lets this place down (repeatedly).
The toilets could really do with a good clean too and handyman's touch (none of the doors actually shut). Seriously that's not cool. -

If you go there on a Fri/ Sat night, you're much more likely to enjoy yourself. This place can be hit or miss but the more patrons, the more alive the staff become... which is a shame because Mon-Wed they do half price tapas b4 7.30pm. We went there last night (a Wednesday) and regretted it. No music, no candles, and average food. A pity as it's a great location, good decor, incredible view.
