Walk straight off the Brighton Jetty and into one of the coastline's great restaurant surprises. You can still order first-rate battered fish or the king burger. But, despite the kitchen still having the barest essentials in equipment, there are also excellent crab cakes, scallops in the shell with spicy dressing, and a generous, full-flavoured seafood stew. Meat dishes are huge serves with a slightly heavy hand on the robust sauces. Accompanying vegetables need more care. Service is enthusiastic and relaxed in keeping with the casual atmosphere.

Again we had a great meal with delicious food and great service. A very pleasant was to spend an afternoon sipping on a few wines and watching the people go past.

This is a great venue in winter and summer as the views are brilliant whereever you're sitting in the restaurant. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the food and the wine. The food is brilliant - both times we've been we've ordered most of our meal off the specials board and have not been disappointed. If you can squeeze it in the pannacotta is great.
