We used them for a wedding for 150 people (they said that number would be "no problem"). The reception was a cocktail event where she was supposed to bring in 12 hor duvres, noodle boxes and desserts. The wedding venue was at a home with a marquee, therefore there was a large power drain.
As the bride, the first piece of food I had was frozen in the middle. Then the food stopped coming.....it turns out that this 'professional' caterer brought a multitude of electrical appliances that kept shorting out the power (I have spoken to other industry professionals who said that professional caterers either bring their own generator or prepare the food off-premises)
So we then had to get our emcee to call a hire company to bring gas barbeques so they could get the food out (at no point did they show any form of knowledge in how to cater a large number of people).
Consequently, our guests were not fed (& got very drunk) & any of the food that made it out was over 2 hours late . I spoke to lots of my friends that said they ate no more than 4 pieces of food all night.
Then they had the gall to issue us with a bill for nearly 3 hours of overtime for numerous staff, even though they did not bring the correct equipment to cook the food. They apologised on the night only after I brought up the fact that my guests had not been fed.
