They say that you pay for what you get, well I can certainly support that statement for the Brisbane Manor Hotel. For $70 bucks per night for a single room what can you expect....
Sadly, the paper thin walls that allowed me to hear next doors conversation were not what I expected at all.
In all honesty if you want cheap, uncomfortable, a little smelly and a very noisy place to stay then this is the joint. Having stayed in many a backpackers, bed and breakfasts and hotels I can confirm this was by far my worst experience!
The up side was that it was clean and the sun terrace was a great place to sit and escape too, plus you could cook a meal in the kitchen which was well equipped and quite spacious and finally the location was very central for everything which made it easy to get around.
Plenty of character in this early last century building if thats what you're looking for but very little luxury, you have been warned!
