Located in New Farm Brisbane Powerhouse is a multi-purpose performance space. A former power station it retains some of its former look but these days hosts music events, theatre performances, comedy nights, films, visual art exhibitions, festivals and more.
If you're not interested in performances the Powerhouse is also open for meals and drinks. Visit either Bar Alto or Watt Modern Dining for a meal before a play.

    It’s a beautiful recycling story: what was once a power station has been reborn as an incredible arts venue with a strong nod to its industrial past. Enjoy some comedy, experience a theatrical performance, chill out with some live music, fill up at the great dining venues or even snap up a bargain at the farmers’ markets every second and fourth Saturday. On the river and next to New Farm Park, it has a great vibe.

Venture inside you’ll find old graffiti still on the walls and antique machinery amongst art works.
