Excellent care, excellent communication with your primary care vets (of which i am one :)) and reasonable pricing for an after hours centre. There is no reason for anyone on the north side not to seek emergency treatment with such a wonderful hospital available!

Rang for assistance. Dumb cat had decided a cane toad might be an interesting supper.
While holding distressed cat, advice was given for emergency treatment. This was provided quickly and clearly.
After much frothing of the mouth and wailing the cat is now fine..
Thanks again. This business is local to me and I intend to use this service as primary caregiver for both my cat and dog.

Everyone at BVECCS treated me and my pet with the up most care respect. I took my pet in on Easter Sunday. I was reassured through the whole process, about three people saw me, showed lots of empathy. I rang and was asked to come in after explaining and being listened to about my case. The receptionist gave me excellent instructions, and helped giving me the phone number to call if I needed any further help. I couldn't have asked for a better service, and the fact they were happy to send my results onto my vet for further care. For an exotic they weren't that pricey even though they were after hours and on a weekend. I would not hesitate to ring in a second if I had another problem like this again.

I took my puppy here at 11.30pm on a Sunday night. Before I did, I called ahead to ask questions about care for my pup who had been attacked by another dog pretty badly. I had no intention of actually taking her in, as I had no money at the time. The lady I spoke to on the phone gave me excellent advice, and said if I am really worried about my dog, to bring her in and they will arrange a payment schedule with me for peace of mind (they don't usually do this - so don't expect it!). When I arrived, my pup was treated with the utmost respect by the vet nurse on duty, and she treated us with the same respect. Dr Rachel was the vet on duty who took care of Bailee. At midnight, Dr Rachel was vibrant, happy, and made my dog, my husband and I feel at home. She was thorough and careful in her work, she was so gentle with Bailee. Dr Rachel explained everything to us beofre she went ahead and did it, and when plans changed after a closer inspection of Bailee, she came to let us know what her new plans were before she administered treatment. Everyone was so nice and understanding. Dr Rachel did alternative treatment on our dog to keep the cost down for us as she understood our situation. The whole surgery was very clean, and has a wonderful atmosphere, especially for a 24hr emergency vet/specialist centre for very sick animals. Even the cleaner who was there at the time was wonderful to us, and very understanding and chatted to us as she worked and we waited. I highly commend them all on their work, and highly recommend Brisbane Veterinary Specialist Centre to everyone. Thanks to all staff.
