My favourite Australian winemaker but perhaps not the finest winery to visit if you are looking for a 'touristy' or learning experience - a bit crowded in a small space here but hey - can you really go past the best selection of wines in the Hunter? Don't forget, Brokenwood was originally founded by James Halliday himself.

Some of the best wines in the Hunter. And the staff really know their stuff. See if you can't get them to give you taste of their signature wine, the Graveyard Shiraz. A spectacular drop it is.
