Since opening two eateries in the city in the last couple of years, the boys from Brother Espresso have become firm favourites with anyone seeking great coffee and fresh, healthy food for breakfast and lunch. Now, the empire is expanding and Bulimba is home to the latest Brother Espresso – a “baby brother”, you might say. Situated well off the Oxford Street strip, this new outlet is a cosy, scaled-down version of the city cafes, but it still has some good food and the same hip, laid-back vibe that sums up the Brother Espresso appeal. The venue is a simple one – a few tables sit outside at the front, while inside a blackboard menu dominates one wall. Seating ranges from wooden chairs to little stools and it’s all very welcoming in a we’re-not-trying-too-hard way.
