Whether this is your first visit to the chiropractor, or you are  new in town and seeking ongoing care, choosing the right clinic is based upon many factors.

Is chiropractic care right for me?

Will the chiropractor listen to me?

What will happen in the treatment room?

All of these are valid questions and, frankly, these and other questions go through the mind of everyone when they are considering chiropractic care.

Firstly, let me introduce myself. My name is Dr Peter Richardson and I am the chiropractor at Burke Road Chiropractic Centre. I have been in practice in Camberwell for more than 10 years. 

I am looking forward to welcoming you to the practice and plotting a course for you back to optimal health.

On you first visit we will sit down and have a discussion to determine what the problem is and whether or not we can help you. You may be asked to perform some tests like touching your toes or turning your head to set your baseline.

If I determine I can help you, then I will start treatment on that first visit.

For those of you who have had chiropractic treatment before, we use the gentlest techniques possible to achieve the result. Therapies include soft tissue technique, activator, SOT (blocks), drop-piece, cranial and NET.

Your first visit will last about an hour as will your second visit. Any future ongoing appointments generally take about 15 minutes.
