    I have just redone my western suburbs home with roller blinds from Burns for Blinds and they look fantastic! Very happy with the end result and would recommend to anyone... great experience!

    We have been getting quite a lot of renovations to our property lately and I can say that Burns For Blinds have been the worst company we have ever come across.

    We had a sales rep come out in mid November to give us a quote it was agreed that the blinds would be installed at the beginning of January. Heres what happened (a very short version)
    - Quote accepted mid November Burns For Blinds processed our deposit incorrectly, and were rude even though it was their fault. Sales rep didnt want to know (how unfriendly they become after they have your signed contract!). We made a written complaint with no response.

    - A couple of weeks later, they came to measure up our windows. When we hadnt heard from them for a couple more weeks we contacted them and were informed that they couldnt do our blinds at all they were too difficult.

    - The sales rep called us (this is the only time Burns For Blinds have contacted us we have always been chasing them) and said that is a mistake, they *could* do our blinds. They said that another representative would come out with them, and they made a time to visit. They didnt turn up - afterwards we were informed that they had arrived at our property when we werent home, let themselves in through the back and had a look at our windows from the outside!!

    - After that, they organised for the installer to take detailed measurements and make templates for our windows. We followed up a month or so later (we always had to follow up they never contacted us), and were informed that they had lost the templates, so the installer had to come out again and measure up. So theres another delay.

    - At the end of February (remember these were meant to be installed in early January), the installer arrived to install the standard blinds, and had to take another template for the custom ones. They were pretty upset - they had been the only Burns For Blinds employee that we have been impressed with they kept apologising, even though it wasnt their fault. We were very impressed with the installers work.

    - So just over a month goes by, and we have heard nothing from Burns For Blinds (as usual). My partner contacts them, and finally a time is organised for the installation of the custom blinds.

    So, 5 months after getting a quote, and 3 months after the blinds were meant to be installed, our blinds have been installed. I asked Burns For Blinds if we could get a discount off the remaining balance due to the ridiculous delays and stress caused by this situation. Of course, they said no.

    So if youre thinking of getting blinds do yourself a favour and steer clear seriously!!

    We recently had Burns for Blinds outfit our office and I would never use them again!! They were very rude! They took months to complete the job, unsatisfactorily to my mind and damaged our furnishings with no apology! The sales staff was lovely but once we paid the deposit it was rapidly down hill from there! I have never encountered such poor customer service. I would advise anyone to look elsewhere!

    Very bad experience...

    On 3rd November, we have placed an order with Burns for Blinds, with a total amount of $5478 for plantation shutters, we paid a deposit of $1648. We were promised delivery by mid January. The sales staff was friendly, but once staff's gone things have changed.

    The staff disappeared for two weeks and then showed up for measurements, and then re-disappeared until the second week of February... No apologies for the delay or whatsoever. They never called, we had to constantly call and get answered by rude persons.

    When they showed up two weeks after the delivery due date, two of them didn't fit, and the staff didn't fix them, we paid for the fixed once and were promised that the the "office" will call to solve the matter of the faulty ones.. They left and we never received any calls from them.

    Anyway, to make long story short, it's March now, they are still holding our deposit of $544 for the unfixed shutters, and the bloody shutters wont be here until sometime in April..

    Awful experience, I hate that place and will never let any of their sales people step a foot in my place again..

    The worst customer service ever, arrogant, rude, , and failure to deliver what they promise.
    Had a quote for 5 screen doors, and 2 electric roller shutters with a promise the goods would be installed by a certain day providing the deposit was paid by a certain date. The deposit was paid on time. A day off work was organised, and NO the goods would not be ready for another two weeks. Another day off organised. Whoops forgot the patio bolts, and the doors didn't line up. Happy with the roller shutters (to start with). Told them we would we pay the balance when the job was complete. Organised to come back a few days later between 4-6pm, arrive at 7pm to fix doors. Doors get fixed, then demands full payment...in the interim one roller shutter no longer going all the way down (still waiting for that to be fixed....no paper work given other then compliance certificate). Installer then proceeds to attempt to remove doors....company policy!!!!! Interesting customer service, we pay our deposit on time for guaranteed service (which they have had for over a month) and cannot get it back, yet they cannot wait until the bank opens the following morning...without attempting to remove product.....unable to arrive on time, finish job appropriately. This is the second time we have used Burns for Blinds, and experienced a similar customer service approach when we had a whole house kitted out with vertical blinds (put pulleys on wrong side, only half the job done, yet insisted on full payment... they usually always have to go back as the product is not made as requested on the quote)........we thought stupidly we would give them another go...perhaps just a bad day!!!!!.....two separate occasions!!!!!!!..............I will never recommend this company to anyone

    In September 2012 i had Burns for blinds come out and quote my house near the seafront. I must say i found the representative to be very polite and informed. I ended up going ahead with burns and it has been a great experience. The blinds look fantastic, and i was kept up to date though the whole process. I think people are very quick to complain but never to praise, so i thought i would share my experience with you. I would highly recommend Buns for blinds

      I posted a negative experience I had with this company and I received a letter telling me I had to remove it or "They would bring their legal team in" what a joke
      This company is such a horrible, rude business, I hope everyone reads this and thinks twice before proceeding with this business.

    On february 29, 2012 I had a measure and quote from three companies,for cellular blinds. The staff from Burns for Blinds seemed very aware of what I wanted and gave me great information about how things would look etc. I wanted a top down , bottom up configuration , and I was told this would be fine , so I decided to go with their quote.
    I paid the deposit and I waited for what would be the final measure before the blinds were put into production, which is normally two weeks. A month later I have the final measure. I asked the staff how long it would be before the blinds arrived and he said ten days.
    A month later I contacted the office again to be told that the staff quoting had incorrectly measured the size of the blind for the TDBU configuration and that it would need a bigger header at an increased cost of $1900. I wasnt happy with that, since the staff quoting had assured me all would be fine.
    I waited another month, not hearing anything and decided to contact the Mnager at the Head Office on Magill Road. I went to the office and asked to speak to him. The staff on reception rang him and I heard him say "Tell her I am busy"
    By this time I was in tears because i had needed the blinds installed for my husbands 70th birthday, and it was not going to happen.

    I found the staff I was dealing with to be rude and not willing to take responsibility for the fact that - it was their mistake - not mine and that they legally should have provided me with the blinds I was quoted for. It is now the end on May and I still do not have the blinds I ordered in February. I would never use this company again and I would advise others to shop around before making any decision. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

    Have purchased Fielders Veranda and outdoor Ziptrak blinds from Burns for Blinds for the veranda. Must say I'm really impressed with the service and more impressed with the final product. Backyard looks fantastic and i would recommend to others.

    I'm revising my previous half star rating to 4.5 stars due to the outstanding service I received from Simon. He was the reason I didn't write off my deposit in the first place after my initial bad experience with other staff members. Simon went out of his way to help me, and came over and installed my blinds even though it was not his job to. I can't thank him enough for turning a bad experience into a good one, and it's really unfortunate that a company and other good workers can be let down by other peoples bad customer service. Also worth a mention is Steve who came over to do my check-measure, he was very friendly and did his job quickly and courteously. The blinds are lovely and well made, I'm very happy with them. This review would have been 5 stars if not for my initial bad service. I really hope BFB take care of their staff and reward the good ones.

    I am in the process of dealing with this company and their service went rapidly downhill once my non-refundable deposit was made. They were/are not willing to work with me to come up with a solution to my problem. During my phone conversations with them, they constantly pointed out to me how busy they are and how they have other customers to think of... Well give me my deposit back and you can busy yourself with someone else! The management was arrogant, stubborn and not customer oriented in the least. So far they have done nothing to warrant them keeping my deposit, my blinds have not even begun to be made (the problem) so there is no loss to them so they want me to continue to do business with them or lose my money. The only shining light in my experience was the staff I was palmed off to in the end who WAS happy to help me but I never got the staff's name. If not for the staff I would have written off my deposit and walked away. I will definitely NOT do future business with them unless they somehow redeem themselves in a spectacular way in the coming weeks.
