The library itself is not bad. The interior is modern and clean. The range of books isn't big but sufficient. The study space is limited, but comfortable. However, the worst problem is the noise level. The library has a children play area, with shrieking babies and toddlers running around. The parents don't control their children and the librarians don't care. There is no noise regulation, people speak as loud as they please. Just had the chance to visit this after its renovation and have to say they've done a great job of making this a comfortable space with a modern neat spacious design. The weakness as I see it, however, is that there's so much space that it doesn't actually feel like there's all that many books! It will be good when this old building is replaced - but in the meantime, they do have a big range even though it's cramped in to the small space there. Kids section could be a bit more generous, but the adult fiction section is great, as is their DVD collection.
