We were really disappointed with the service and the attitude of the wait staff. We were in the area after the fabulous Gertrude Street Projection Festival and thought we'd stop in for a meal on the way home. We were a party of three, we ordered (two meals exactly the same) at 7.50pm and our meals finally started to arrive at 8.55pm. When after waiting half an hour we asked how long the meals were going to take we were told "another ten minutes". When the vegetarian meal, the chickpea curry arrived there was not a chickpea to be found in it:a meal without protein, it was sent back and itcame back with about six chick peas, what is the story?? We were told by a particularly defensive wait staff that "everyone came at once" but we counted no more than ten people in the restaurant including us. The steaks when they came were delicious but one was served a bowl of vegies and the other had two broccoli florets on top and that was all. The other diners were offered a complimentary drink, we were offered nothing but a rude attitude as if we were doing something wrong by asking after 45 minutes when our meals would arrive. Very dissapointing attitude, we will definitely not return to this place they need to get their act together big time. Chef needs to learn how to handle more than one order at a time it's fairly standard practice in hospitality field.
I have been heading constantly back to Coco's for nearly 10 years and with good reason. The food is always tasty and the menu has a great range of food so everyone I take there always finds just what they feel like eating.
There is a cute little courtyard out there back - where you can forget the cares of the world whilst you sit and enjoy your food and coffee!
