Lovely little cafe with great ambience, coffee and as everyone else has noted, macarons!

Cre Asion is one of my favourites for macarons in Sydney (up there with Baroque / La Renaissance at The Rocks). I love the Japanese-influenced flavours like miso, yuzu and green tea, but the staples like Dear Chris (chocolate and hazelnut), dark chocolate and passionfruit are crowd-pleasers.

They do great cookies and I actually like them more than the macarons. Try the dark salted chocolate cookies. They're just the right amount of crumbly and they aren't too sweet.

They do great lunch sandwiches which are really tasty but a little messy to eat.

The owner and staff are really lovely and take great pride in their work. Watch them assemble sandwiches with great care but save it for a time when you're not in a hurry and don't need to zip in and out.

Great little cafe - they deserve to do well!

I just had a dark chocolate macaron from here for the first time and it was perfection! Not too sweet, not too bitter but just right. Right amount of fluffy biscuit to cream filling. I have sampled so many macrons across Sydney but this was delicious. I am worried that I work in the same block as this business and can see this blowing out into a daily habit.

I walk down this alley way nearly everyday and was so pleased to discover this new little cafe that makes its on macarons on site. When you walk into this cafe, it actually feels like you are in a cafe that could be found somewhere in Tokyo. Everything is immaculately presented and packaged and you cant flaw the attention to detail and simplicity. They have a range of macron flavours from the norm to the more adventurous. Salted caramel, chocolate, hazlenut and then miso, yuzu lemon, wasabi macrons all on offer.

I bought some biscuits (vanilla and salted chocolate) which everyone in the office devoured. They have some great sandwiches too. I ordered the smoked salmon, fennel and soft boiled egg on sourdough sandwich which was a refreshing lunch combination.

If you are looking for something sweet then head to Cafe Cre Asion. The service is really warm and friendly and the macarons, biscuits and sandwiches are devine. Great little find in a new emerging pocket of Sydney/sourthern end of Surry Hills.
