    I had great expectations of this place but was completely disappointed with their half heated chicken pie. It tasted out of a packet - the pastry was all soggy and the salad was all wilted.

    this large island/beach theme cafe is superbly decked out inside and out. the food is a bit pricey for size & ingredients and not that modern which is a shame. i tried 2 poached eggs ($8.50) with avacado,mushrooms, home made beans ($2.50 extra each) which was nice but a bit expensive than elsewhere. most meals are $17-18 - vegie fettacine, chicken curry, S & P calamari salad, chicken snitzel; as well as soup of day (Pumpkin) & brushetta ($10 each) - all a bit inimaginative. there are lots of tables inside with island/beach murals on walls and river pebble on floors/walls. outside on street front there are comfy chairs and coffee tables thoughtfully set up with heaters, covers/blinds to keep out wind/cold/rain. outside in the fenced back area there are lounge chairs/banana lounges and a gazebo with blinds/roof and heater for rainy/cold days. the ground is fake grass and there are palm trees and plants abound, a small fenced off area with kids cubby and toys is also available. it's gorgeous outside! coffees are good and staff friendly
