    Immensely satisfied with the quality of service at Cafe Florentine in Church Street, Brighton. Whilst many modern cafes and bistros only serve to a safe target dynamic, with a menu that remains equally tried and tired (read: bland), Cafe Florentine exude a confidence, sophistication and wealth of experience which allows them to offer to a wider field, and still continue to excel. Hence, the customer is treated to wonderful coffee, (the type of cup you would wish to tip the barista for) gourmet dishes, and an unexpectedly impressive wine list. If you hang around long enough and pay attention, it quickly becomes evident that Brighton locals love Cafe Florentine. From its earliest opening of doors, it is the place to depend on whether looking for a cosy, satisfying dine-in breakfast or that regular pick-me-up coffee on the run. Where other establishments forget that a regular customer, no matter how loyal, can never be treated as part of the furniture, this cafe return loyalty with loyalty; an almost 'part of the family' sentiment, yet forever remaining professional and courteous. With the cinema immediately in the neighbourhood, Cafe Florentine staff are readily prepared for customers filling in brief spots of time before a movie session - and have been trained to respond with efficiency and a 'no-problem' attitude. Dining in, one is presented with friendly and polite service in a clean, uncomplicated environment. The menu is extensive without being ridiculously excessive, - and the dishes deliver what the menu promises. Portion sizes are adequate and satisfying. I could appreciate the balanced menu; known standard dishes are anything but standard, and other dishes are deliciously innovative.

    Florentines is a little expensive for the quality of food and service. Raw fish and
    warm coffe was at least refunded,with service
    only at a personal rating of 6 out of 10. Although idealy located the two visits could have been better spent elsewhere.
