So it was morning tea time and i really fancied a coffee and toasted sandwich i had not been here before and thought I would give it a try. I ordered a ham, cheese and tomato toasted sandwich and a latte. When I returned to work with my food and unwrapped it I could not believe that this sandwich could possible be sold at $5.50 a go! So there was 1 slice of ham, 4 very thinly sliced pieces of tomato, and what i can only describe as a splat of cheese about the size of a 50c piece! All the food was shoved in the middle and not spread around the bread. I have worked in cafe's and sandwich shops and I know this is not good enough, with every bite the customer should taste all the fillings in the sandwich - this was most definetly not the case! When I went back to ask about this (and posibbly get some cheese and tomato added around the bread) I was simply told, this is what you ordered, this is how we make it, and no one has ever complained before. Now I understand maybe the 'kitchen staff' was having a bad day, maybe they were hungover I dont know but the customer service was appaling - I would never serve this up to any customer ever, and the complete lack of communication and understanding really got my goat, so yes I was rude and unhappy by the time I left but had not gone in to intentionally react in this way! I actually did enjoy the coffee but will never be returning to this place again! maybe they should learn some customer service skills!!!
