Expensive these days! I have visited Cafe Paradiso for years and it waxes and wanes service and food wise. Lunch today was excellent as usual and a HUGE improvement is that they have cut the smoking area outside down to just a few tables. Now non-smokers can enjoy an outside table too. The pasta and coffee are great. I think Paradiso's only downfall is that the prices have become unrealistic for Adelaide cafe dining - up to $30 for a main, but still order at the counter service. I'm no cheapskate but there are other choices in the same area that now represent better value.

From the outside this cafe looks appealing, and offering Fair Trade Coffee is certainly great for the morally-minded consumer. That is about the only positive comment to be made, however, about Cafe Paradiso. The service is ridiculously slow, and I wouldn't waste my time going there again. I dined there last night, and waited 1.25 hours for a bowl of pasta - and the cafe was less than half full. This is just unacceptable, especially considering how many other places there are to chose from along KW Road. Other diners close by also complained several times, which had little impact. When my meal eventually arrived, it wasn't even right...asked for no chilli, but was served chilli in the pasta. Not good enough !!!

One of the chica options on this popular trendy Adelaide strip. Great coffee, outdoor seating - which can often be crowded because of the small space- but beautiful interior. A real traditional Italian coffee experience. Recommend it for a Sunday afternoon.

This cafe does a fine breakfast and great coffee. They even offer Fair Trade coffee for a small amount extra. (How about serving it across the board, guys?)

The staff are good, and there is a wide area out the front to sit outside (under cover) if you are walking your dog. The staff will bring a pooch water-bowl too. A real family favourite, very popular on weekends.

Have not tried it for dinner yet but the menu looks delectable.

For a trip back to gastronomic childhood, try their delicious Honey Joys after your coffee!
