    Nice place and friendly service. Get coffee from here and sometimes a salad. Nice place to sit and relax and not be hurried.

    Had a fantastic meal at Republic and will definitely return again. Meals are fairly standard and will appeal to most people who are just after something simple that tastes great. Specialising in a variety of modern italian cuisine, there is a large selection of pastas and pizzas which are sure to impress. The calamari fettucini came with a large amount of prawns which is very rare to find these days and was seasoned perfectly. I ordered a side of seasonal vegies to accompany my meal and was pleasantly surprised with the combination of asparagus, beans and fetta - was very tasty. Republic Cafe is a hot spot for after work drinks and a bustling crowd is almost always spotted from Toorak Rd. If you've been looking for a reason to check it out, now you have it!

    I went here a week or so ago and found it pretty over priced for fairly standard, unimaginative meals.

    nothing out of the ordinary and nothing memorable. wouldn't go back.
