What a great spot for breakfast. Either get there early or book ahead, I think it's popular...

Love this suburban cafe, been there twice for breakfast. There menu is extremely extensive. Their food is very creative, I love going here for something different. It's out of the way and both times I have been here it's been nice and quiet. staff very friendly and happy to be here. Will defiantly go back. Worth the drive if you have never been here.

What an amazing cafe. This was fantastic, and we've been back twice since. The first time I dropped in with my son for breakfast purely by chance as we were driving past and he was hungry. His breakfast was huge and they were accommodating in that they exchanged his eggs (allergic) for extra sausages but even so he could not finish it all. We also tried their smoothies which were to die for! I had the Eggs Hollandaise and can confidently say they are the best I've ever had. We have since been back for lunch (with my husband and other son) and all four of us were impressed, and just for coffee. The service is friendly, efficient and helpful, the food is delicious, generous and well priced, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. We haven't needed to make a reservation although both times were weekdays. I would imagine evenings and weekends would require bookings. Definitely going back again!

Absolutely incredible! Very busy - so I recommend making a reservation but staff were so friendly and helpful. Despite being packed out our food still came relatively quickly - cannot wait to go back!

Oh, heaven. Italian inspired cuisine with delicious meals. A great atmosphere and friendly staff. Breakfast a specialty not to be missed. And the coffee, drive out of your way to get the goods...yum.

  • Cafe Urbano a Stafford star

FINALLY, Stafford gets a cafe worth writing about. Cafe Urbano boasts low prices, generous servings, and cakes made by the chef.

At this newish (four months old) little cafe they are as big as tennis balls, a creamy mixture of boiled rice mixed with fetta and fresh herbs, crumbed and deep-fried, and served with a fresh mushroom sauce. At only $9.50 for three they're a bargain, and need only the addition of a rocket and parmesan side salad ($6) to make a complete and satisfying lunch.

Low prices like these (even a 200g eye fillet with all the trimmings costs just $20) are just one element in the list of reasons you should give Cafe Urbano a try. The others are delicious food freshly cooked on the premises; good-quality ingredients; and at last a really decent place in the Stafford area, where for years, it seems, I've been searching in vain for somewhere worth reviewing.

It was only thanks to a colleague who lives on that side of town that I was alerted to Cafe Urbano's existence, although his comment that they had stopped offering poached eggs for breakfast during his visit bears out the t...
