The quality of food, the price and the attitude of the new management at this restaurant is extremely disappointing and unacceptable. The king prawns for $32 I ordered were off and terrible. The Chicken Florentine presented as 2 small pieces of chicken with plain/unseasoned veges and there was no Brie in the chicken as advertised. The Greek salad was dry with old lettuce and feta. They said "This is a cheap and nasty place - what do you expect?!" They then wouldn't honour the entertainment voucher as the name of the place is now "Martino Caffe" not "Caffe Martino" and the restaurant is under new management! The sign on the restaurant still reads "Caffe Martino" and they were wearing a uniform that read "Caffe Martino". They also commented that people who use entertainment book vouchers "are not worth it". The whole experience was lousy, probably the worst dining experience I have ever had. In our view the food that was on offer was over priced as it was very basic. Perhaps worst of all was the management's unapologetic attitude towards my family's bad experience at this restaurant. -

We decided to try this restaurant after my husband had eaten there a while back and said it was good. On arrival we were not greeted that friendly by the staff. Once at our table we ordered 2 glasses of white wine, we then received 2 glasses of red wine! After calling the waitress over who was very friendly we asked for the white wine. 5 minutes later she came back and told us that wine was not available. So we ordered another white wine which came out warm and my husbands glass had lipstick on it. We then ordered an entree to share and our mains. The calamari was the entree to share and the Chicken Florentine is what my hubby ordered these came out at the same time and my pasta meal was absent. After waiting about 15 minutes my meal was then out- however it was not the pasta i ordered. The waitress came over and asked what was wrong and I explained this was the wrong pasta and I ordered the Gambarri with prawns not chirozo, olives and chilli. She walked away with my meal and then came back after 5 minutes to ask what i wanted. By this point i was over it and said don't worry about it.The main waitress that took the order came over and asked what had happened i explained she showed me that she had written down my order correctly. On the way out we paid and the manageress (we assume) then told us that meal was the meal i ordered and argued with us and used all excuses under the sun.
I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone, it was the worst dining experience we have ever had! They don't even deserve the 1/2 star! -

I find this Cafe a difficult place to get to with hardly any convenient parking available. The atmosphere isn't the best and there are to many tables. You feel like you can't move once you have been seated. We were the first patrons to arrive and it took over 45min before a staff member came over to enquire if we were ready to order. The service was minimal with no smiles from the staff. Before ordering we were informed that there were no pizza's which made half the menu redundant. So we ordered a few entrees, garlic bread and olives, before we made our decision on our mains. The garlic bread arrived 30min later. The olives never arrived. When we enquired where the olives were, we were brought olive oil, which was returned. We ordered our mains, but the waiter came back 5min later to inform us that they only have one Chicken Florentine, so myself or my friend would have to order something else. My friend reordered the steak. The food didn't all arrive at the same time, so some of the meals were cold by the time everyone had there meals in front of them. The Chicken Florentine, I couldn't fault. It was fantastic. The steak my friend ordered however tasted off. Once the mains were delivered we didn't get another staff member to enquire how we were going for the rest of the night. When we decided to leave, we had to add the bill up ourselves to see how much the bill totalled. I would highly recommend missing this eating establishment and going somewhere else. I will not be back. -

We had originally choosen this place for dinner as it was in the entertainment book, which we were later in formed that it was taken over 8 weeks ago and they no longer honour the deal which had more than a few tabels upset. Many left without even eating and I don't blame them as the food was tasteless and the staff were very rude. We even had to wait 20 mins for some water, which then came in a broken plastic beer jug. Overall it was hard to say what was right about the place. I don't reccommend it to anyone. -

If you are looking for great Italian food in Mount Lawley where small children are welcome, then look no further. Cafe Martino is an oasis for parents of babies and toddlers in a sea of cold, posh restaurants. Welcoming staff, warm atmosphere and great food keep us coming back. -

Good food at a reasonable price. Often full so booking a must. Quite busy, food takes a while but worth the wait.
