These guys worked hard for us, I would highly recommend to anyone. No scratches on walls, the furniture survived without a scratch, mind you our gear had travelled over 2000 klms. Everything went according to our agreed schedule, real pro's all the way. Even the price was reasonable, they weren't the cheapest but I promise, they were worth every cent.

Really impressed with these guys. They weren't the cheapest, from 7 quotes they were in the middle but worth every cent for the service they gave me. I left everything in their care from the packing of boxes to shipping all my furniture plus my boat. They put my boat on a flat bed trailer and carried it behind the truck that was carrying my furniture, awsome. These guys were pro's all the way, nothiing was damaged, I can't give them enough praise, highly reccomended.

calabro moved me to Katherine. The guys arrived dead on time and were extremely professional and polite throughout the process. The delivery was also dead on time. When they delivered i noticed almost every lid on my plastic tubs were smashed to pieces. I just bought these tubs prior the move to keep all my expensive uni books dry and free from dust whilst i keep them stored in my garage. I approached the management i asked them for compensation of my tubs which cost me almost $300, they told me wont be compensating me but is happy to give me a $25 coles gift card. alot of good that will do, my books which have cost me thousands will now be ruined. the guys were great but dont expect the management to take any responsibility if their staff ruin anything.

  Hi Mel. we did speak prior your removal and i mentioned to you that plastic tubs are not a favourible method for packing books, especially on long distance removals, for two reasons, there more expensive than boxes, and they crack and split when in transit especially the ones you get from a two dollar shop, then filled with heavy items such as books. Plastic tubs are like removalists Mel, you get what you pay for, if you pay cheap and fall for the gimmicks the outcome will be horrible and more expensive in the end. If you remember i offered you free second hand boxes for your books because the outcome of your job is more important to us than the bottom line, but you declined. Maybe you declined because you know more about removals than us, I dont know, but i am still going to post you the gift card and wish you well in Katherine.

i recently moved from Sydney to Adelaide with Calabro and they were as good as it gets. we got quotes off the big guns and they wanted around 11 grand, calabro came in at just over 8 and a half, either way it is bloody expensive. I got some other quotes off smaller type backloder style businesses and there quotes were like 900 to 2000, personally i just didn't trust it which is why i decided on a premium type service. All of the staff worked individually and just put their heads down and worked constantly, the boxes were packed and the truck and container was loaded by 3pm. The goods arrived 2 days later, on time, with absolutely no damage, not even a crushed box, they were fantastic in every way. If i have to move again i would like to use these guys if i can afford it, its only lucky my boss paid for this move.

I have used many removalist services over the years and I must say that Calabro Movers are by far the worst I have ever come across. The guys that did our job appeared to be quite hung over and they actually informed us when they arrived that they had had a big night the previous day.

They were extremely slow and inefficient and my husband actually had to help during the whole process, lifting about 95% of our belongings with one of the guys, whilst the other guy stayed inside the truck most of the day stacking the furniture and tying it down. With what we were charged for the service I was extremely annoyed that my husband had to help at all. Obviously the reason one pays for a removal service is so they don't have to do any of the work themselves. However, if my husband had not been there to assist them I don't think they ever would have got the job finished.

On top of all that they took approximately one and a half hours driving from the pick up location to the drop off location, which is normally only a 30 minute drive. I understand that it would take a little longer driving time in a truck, but not that much longer.

Perhaps we were just unlucky on that particular day but I would definitely not ever use their services again and nor would I ever recommend them to anyone.

  Hello ianthe and thanks for your review of my business. I dont know what job you were talking about but i can only remember one customer approx six or seven months ago who made a fuss about our services because they had no money to pay the bill. We dont hire guys that have no experience like backpackers and the staff are randomly tested for drugs and liquor, on top of that about 99% of our work is long distance like melbourne and perth. Assuming your review is true and you are not a competitor i would invite you to talk to me direct on 0424 069 894. I certainly would not stand for the kind of behaviour you speak of and if there are staff treating my customers in this fashion i would want to weed them out of my organisation ASAP. You have my number, by making the call to me would save future clients from having a terrible experience which is the last i want and the last thing any of our clients need.

I used calabro for the second time and my girlfriend used them aswell.We both had 2 bedroom units, mine was a top floor with no lift and my friend was on the second floor with a lift.

So far everytime they have delivered a really good service with a reasonable price.
My friend had the calabro staff with a calabro truck. On my previous move, i had one of the calabro contractors with a plain white truck, both were excellent.

On this occasion i had the owner of calabro do the job for me with one of his offsiders and they were exceptional removalists and really nice guys. Really quick and careful with everything thay carried, they seemed to have a great technique and very relaxed approach.

I will keep using calabro and recommend them to my friends, i would also recommend them to anyone moving

calabro came highly recommended as the sort of business that could handle our job given the size and the limited time we had to complete it. The truck they sent was large but filthy, it looked like they had sent it to Perth and back a few times the front was so covered in bugs i am surprised the driver could see out the windscreen, to be fair the back of the truck was clean and there blankets were neatly folded. The team seemed to work relatively well together and as most of their reviews suggest, they were extremely efficient. The quote was a little pricey compared to other quotes yet not the most expensive, given the recommendation we went with them. They completed the job well within the time frame and there was no damage to anything. Overall a good service.

calabro was a great experience mainly due to their shear efficiency, they packed and moved our 4 bedroom house in one day, i admit i haven't moved in years but i would of thought we had heaps of stuff. The guys did admit we had allot of stuff but it soon became clear they did this job every day. They used a girl team to pack the kitchen and the boys packed pretty much the rest of the house. Most of the packing was completed by 11am thats when the boys began moving everything. it took two trips but they were quick. on the first trip they left one guy behind to begin assembly on the beds. By 5 pm everything was in the new house, beds assembled and everything placed were i wanted it. In total it took 2 girls and 4 guys to achieve our size job in one day, the bill i thought was quite reasonable considering the scale of work , we also opted for a fixed quote rather than an hourly rate so we knew what the job would cost. I am hoping not to move again but if i do i would definitely use these guys

what a great service, i moved from sydney to melbourne recently, i rang them and booked in a date. They gave me a pick up time and a delivery time the next day. everything they said happened, on time and everything was delivered in exactly the same condition. What i loved most was when the guys arrived in melbourne i had to leave them to arrange real estate things and work stuff, when i arrived back home the boys had about 10 boxes left in the truck, when i went inside the house everything was placed so neatly and set up, cushions were on lounges, beds were set up, boxes were stacked neatly. I was shocked at the level of their service considering the distance of the job, i have read many reviews about this firm and everything that i read was accurate. Fantastic service i dont think i would use anyone else again, the best part is they said that they are opening a firm in melbourne soon so if i stay here i can use them to move locally aswell.

We had what i would classify as a large job moving from mosman to st ives. I compared with 3 different companies, all the quotes were around the same price but calabro was the cheapest by a couple of hundred. I went with them because peter knew everything about his job and could answer all our questions with confidence so i felt confident with him, plus they had many reviews over the net and most of them were good. He sent a team of ladies and men to pack the house the day before relocation, the next day he arrived with 2 large trucks and a small one.The team works very well together, there isnt much talking between them, i didnt see any of them taking smoko's breaks, they all just hooked in got the job done. the packing took 7 hours and the removal took 8 and half. Very efficent, no damages, all in all a very good experience.
