Sarah100 i know exactly what you mean. I went in to have my roots coloured and was pressured into having a blowdry i didn't want. They told me it was the same price with or without the blowdry. I payed $120. The "free" blowdrys (which arn't really free) are just a gimmick to get you in the door. Its just another trick
When i moved into the area i went to this salon because they clamied to give you "free" blowdrys. I went and had foils and walked out with re-growth bad enough my friends noticed. An apprentice practised blowdrying on my hair i know why they say its "free" but in a way you do pay for it. It took her an hour to pull and tug at my hair. The blowdry didn't last longer than 30 minutes. I wont be going back and neither will anyone i tell my experiance to.
Tracy Callaghan has been my hairdresser at different salons for over 25 years. She purchased the current location approximately 5 years ago, she renovated to bring it into the current style, she employs very professional staff and offers the best client service I have experienced. On a Thursday evening you can have a hair cut, a chat, a colour or whatever your heart desires over a glass of wine. There is parking very close by. She is the sought of professional hairdresser who you trust enough to sit in the chair and say do what you think is best for me. No mistakes, no losing of hair due to harsh products, no burning of your scalp. I cannot speak highly enough of this business and it's staff. I encourage any local who is looking to try a new hairdresser to give Tracy a try. I bet you will not regret it and will return time and time again for the best hairdcut and style you have ever had in your life. I'll move from Sydney eventually but not my hairdresser.
