Camp Boomerang

Camp Boomerang offers seaside backpacker/hostel accommodation in a bushland setting at  Port Sorell, near Devonport.  Also have camping facilities, motorhome/campervan and tent sites. Situated on 5 hectares of bushland, 15 minutes drive from Devonport’s ferry terminal and airport.Each bunkroom has six or eight bunks.  One is a family room with a double bed and adjoining unit with four bunks for the children.  There is a communal amenities block with a free laundry, including irons and dryers.  Five bunkrooms have their own kitchenette and lounge room.A modern commercial kitchen near the hall is available for fully catered groups (up to 120 people) as well as barbeque facilities.  There is a football/cricket oval, a half court tennis area, many safe playing areas for children, walking tracks and nature reserve, and a large hall suitable for playing indoor games, badminton, basketball, and ideal to hold small conferences.Port Sorell is known as the “Port of Golden Beaches”, a few minutes from  camp you’ll find safe swimming, canoeing, fishing, sailing and other water sports.  Next door  is a full tennis court where for a small fee you can play all day.  The shopping centre, café’s and other amenities are all nearby.
