Owner interrupted me during a set, anyone would know that's not on. Very unprofessional when canceling memberships. No payment freezes when wanting to take holidays. Not a place to feel comfortable in. Smells, too hot. Music too loud. No wonder fitness first does so well.
I agree with IrishAus. While the equipment is good the summer heat is not. At peak times there is insufficient parking plus you have to deal with Parramatta road traffic, fancy spending half an hour in your car to get from Broadway to the gym? Customer service takes a sharp turn downwards when cancelling your membership, quite rude in fact.
No air con and none will be installed in the foreseeable future. I joined the gym in January and it was almost unusable during the summer months. I cancelled my membership yesterday. No-one there was interested in asking me why I was cancelling but they were at great pains to point out how much I would have to pay over the next few weeks before my cancellation was effective. They knew the amounts and dates very well indeed, which implies to me that many people cancel and the gym just does not care.
I understand the frustrations and I can see why you wouldn't keep up your membership. I have stuck with it since it opened mainly for convenience. I have had 2 overseas trips and I have been able to suspend the membership for the period of time (within the terms and conditions) I was away. Finally, it is air conditioned and very confortable. The staff there have always been very friendly and taking the trouble to greet people when they arrive and leave. The equipment is great and there is always someone around to show how to use it.
