    I found Camperdown Mews by being referred there by another vintage shop down the road who's service was fantastic but unfortunately did not specialise in Elizabethan and Victorian like Camperdown Mews does. I was especially excited to find Camperdown Mews on account of them having the exact piece that i was looking for. The girl who waited on me was extremely friendly and helpful and even waited for me while i handed over measurements by phone to my mother. I had placed a deposit down and picked it up a few days later. When I had gone to pick up my piece I unfortunately had to meet and deal with the owner since the previous girl was not there on this particular day, she started off by complaining to me that her staff member had broken up a suite to sell this piece to me and had tried to palm me off by telling me to look around and perhaps change my mind or spend even more money and purchase the whole suite. When I had politely announced that I was only interested in the piece that I had already purchased she retorted by rolling her eyes at her paying customer. She had her customers wrap the piece and did not offer to help us while she was stalking other buyers, she was rude to my mother and when I had pointed out that her customer service was appalling and that it was not my fault nor issue that her staff member was the one that had broken up the collection not I, she resorted to pointing her finger at me and telling me how unimpressed she was with me, working in customer service myself it is the salesman that should be making the impressions not the buyer. This shop is exquisitely fantastic and the pieces are original but unfortunately due to the woman who claims she is a proud owner and customer service always comes first, sadly I will not be going back, nor referring this shop to anyone who is looking for something specific. I had gotten the impression that if you where shopping or bidding in this shop, you must be looking for whole suites and somehow feel the urge and need to impress the woman that your handing your money over too.
