Clayfield's 'Campo Dei Fiori' cafe restaurant offers up first rate Italian cuisine that you would expect to come out of a villa in Naples, not a small inner northern Brisbane suburb. The warm and vivacious atmosphere is aided by a friendly wait team who go beyond the call of duty to make sure your evening is as enjoyable as it possibly can be.

The pizzas are served to you steaming hot, right out of a brick oven, and a large selection of toppings are available from the menu. If you're not in the mood for pizza, why not try the homemade fettucini amatriciana (with a touch of chilli) and be sure to leave room for a cappuccino after the meal.

Giordano Bruno would be proud.

The food was reasonable, but the staff were unskilled. Check your bill before paying, we got ripped both times we went. Chairs are really uncomfortable, you don't want to sit there too long.

This family-run stalwart has lasted 11 years in an area where others have come and gone. The trattoria has drawn a loyal clientele to its homely, warm environment with wooden tables and chairs, and a stylish steel bar. Owner-chef John Battino stays true to his Roman origins, with each meal prepared to order. The fettuccine with brandy and prawns in pink sauce, or zucchini alla Romana are fine examples.
