    Great Location.
Poor service and food. Just been for lunch (group of 6) and a lady in our group ordered a medium rare steak, steak arrived well done. We sent the steak back as it was not edible, a new one was brought out by an rude waiter who when he placed it on the table in front of the lady who ordered the steak asked - "is that right" and slammed the plate down - this we ignored.
She then asked for new cutlery as the waiter had taken the old, she was given only a knife in a huff and then the waiter walked off. The lady then went to get her own fork.
The new steak was even worse!! In total we had ordered 5 steaks and the rest were fine so the chef knows the difference between medium rare and well done. (mine was medium rare)
The lady then did not eat her steak - the bill came and we were charged even though the steak could not be eaten.
When discussing with the manager I only got a stony silence and don't care attitude.
I will not be going back and would recommend careful consideration before you part with your well earned money! They can do good food but woe betide when things go wrong - you will pay and get bad service.
    A real Pity!

Excellent place the ambiance is soooo pretty the lights made the atmosphere at our table just great and the food was the best I have had in Sydney for a long time........ They have really got it right here and the service second to none. This will be my Friday night place for after work drinks and a meal...... I think this week I will try some tapas as the bar area is just to cool. Believe me try it......

What a pleasent experience I had at the new establishment. Intimate surroundings and knowledgeable and helpful staff. The food is absolutely fantastic fresh and beautiful the Oysters shared by my husband and I were the best we have had in years if not ever. We both had a steak myself the Sirloin with chips and bernaise sauce and my husband the waygu scotch fillet both fresh and cooked to absolute perfection. It was a very lovely night with candles flickering and beautiful coloured lights creating a romantic atmosphere. Oh and thankyou to the bar manager Brad for my 2 delicious cocktails now that is a man with experience. My husband also enjoyed the Peroni on tap immensly as it is his favourite beer and he can not get it on tap anywhere. We will definately be dining at Capital Grill again very soon.

    Ultimate Sydney

The place to take Mr Big in business for power lunching. Light and decadent ravioli with crab to start, and follow with huge steaks in Bernaise sauce with pale fat chips and a little broccoli. Outrageous non-slimming desserts involving crème brulée and pannacotta to finish. A large black book of wines is a list for the discerning, but easy to navigate to impress the big boss. Excellent service, stylish mezzanine Manhattan vibe, dining under a chandelier.
