I enjoy riding on this monorail and it's one of the few in Sydney unfortunately. The prices are quite high also, but to go on a trip once in a while is quite enjoyable, especially for the kids. And it's very convenient when traveling from Paddy's Market to Darling Harbour. It's smooth and a nice allows for a nice ride and allows you to put your feet up (not literally though!) and overall, it is relatively okay.

Pros: Nice interior, air condition, moving constantly, good for travellers who do not wish to walk too far. Unlimited travel time, can go on for hours with one charge only. Cost wise balanced with what you get.
Cons: Get bored after two runs for me, a little dizzy since it's always turning Anti-clockwise, not good for taking photos through the glass.

The monorail is considerably costly compare with all other public transport. I think it's too slow, I personally wouldn't want to get on unless I'm so tired, or if I have a day tripper ticket. The good side, the interior is nice, air condition, particularly good for the summer, a wonderful public transport for travellers, I personally wouldn't recommend for locals.

If you want to be ripped off even more in Sydney, ride this poor excuse for transport. It rarely comes more than 10mins apart, packed to the rafters with people they should pay people to shove the idiots in. Dirty, just as bad as riding City Rail or its higher up above ground. Did I mention the price? Ripp off and goes up each year. Just another transport scam, designed for tourists and even stupider locals. An eyesore, a waste, bad for the environment as it aint even needed, try walking people ~ no wonder our Nation is the fattest in the world, becuase people use this kind of transport, by walking you'll even get there faster.
