I have a very fond childhood memory of this cafe. Having come up on the VLine from Melbourne with my mum for what is now our little daytrip we were starving from the trip and just entered the first decent looking cafe with heaters (it was freezing) to have a bite.
I remember sitting down the back of the narrow cafe, in a section that was raised from the rest and had lovely terracotta tiles and right below an outdoor heater pole. The cafe was empty but we felt cozy and warm instantly and the tranquil garden and water feature really made us feel miles away from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne.
Mum had a coffee and a pastie which she said both "hit the spot" and I had a hot chocolate and a plate full of what I can only remember as being THE BEST vegetarian spring rolls I have ever had to this day! I still crave those spring rolls, 10 years on!
Been a great cafe for many many years, always hot food , best of service and a nice smile from the staff, prices are reasonable and on a nice day you can sit out side in the Mall
Very nice eatery, little bit squashy and I found the waitresses were staring waiting for you to finish. Reasonably priced and in a convenient location in shopping mall. Food was good standard. Just need the staring and waiting to see if you've finished look to go.
