I was invited to this chilly restaurant on a scoopon on deal: any main + either entree or desert + bottle of red or white wine.
I ordered the red wine, but was told red was unavailable & been substituted with a Sparkling Red wine, or I could have the white.
I advised that I didn't drink white wine and that a Sparkling red was NOT a substitute for regular red wine. I asked for the house red instead.
The pleasant wait staff checked with the management, but came back with a NO.

I ordered the s&p squid entree & porterhouse medium rare. When asked again what wine I wanted, I said "any red, as per the scoopon offer". To which I got the offer for White or Sparkling Red substitute. I declined both and suggested the house red would in fact be the obvious substitute.

Next, the management came over utilizing their large presence in a rather intimidating manner. I repeated that I wanted red wine as per the scoopon offer. Management bluntly refused.
Though put off by their attitude, I chose to drop the issue and requested water, rather than further risk a loogie in pepper sauce.

Two bites into my overcooked steak the wait staff came over and offered me the house red wine?

    Bewildered, I accepted.

The wine was not great, (i didnt expect it to be) but it was red, not white, and not sparkling. But the sour taste was definitely from the attitude of the management.

    The s&p squid was good.

The coffee down the road in the pleasant ambiance of Ecco was great! Go there!

I had a very similar issue with the managment/staff only last night. After arriving to an empty restaurant, I was taken to my seat. Another couple had entered and were offered anywhere to sit. So as I was sitting in an uncomfortable bench seat (and pregnant) I went and asked the waiting staff if I could move tables. As it was a Wednesday night and not busy I didn't think this would be a problem. Boy was I wrong!!! I was told the seats are allocated by Management and cannot be changed. I was told that Scoopon people have an allocated place however when the reserved table that I wanted was occupied they had scoopon too!! After talking to wait staff, a similar man came out from the back and abruptly told me I would be sitting in my allocated seat and that is final, rolling his eyes as he walked away.I was most disappointed when I had finished my meal to see many vacant tables where I could have been more comfortable at. They certainly need more compassion when dealing with their customers

Neat little pizza bar with a huge pizza menu and delicious pizzas!! Best pizza I've had in a while. Very friendly staff. Even though it was quite late and we were the only two in there we were not hurried at all.
