Dined mid week here and enjoyed the $10 steak.
Certainly a good sized feed for the price - and washed down with a bottle of red - or two. Nice spot and well priced on the water at King Street Wharf.
No table service tho - had to order at the bar.

We went to cargo Bar just for one of our employee's birthday. We were invited but arrived late. They let us in but soon after the made us leave for no justifiable reason. We had just bought our employees drinks and had to leave without reason. We are so embarressed. They wouldnt even tell us why. We were just escorted out. We werent drunk as they tried to say we were. We had just arrived and entered through their security. Our employees must also be so embarassed. Do not have work functions there. You too will end up embarassed in front of your empolyees. What a big disappointment, especially after we paid all that money on food and drinks for our employees.

I still can't get over how horrible this place is!
It's a tourist trap and it's a shame that such a nice location doesn't have more to offer!

I recently dropped in to have dinner with some friends. We were walking down at Darling Harbour looking for somewhere to have a meal. Unfortunately we made the decision to go to Cargo.

The food was basic, the wine list is hugely over priced and the clientele left alot to be desired (One patron was drunk beyond belief. Another thought it would be funny to take his shirt off and start abusing people).
It's also got that smell... you know the one... of a nightclub that gets busy and doesn't get cleaned properly.

The staff were also horrible and kept us waiting to be served (At the bar... no table service here!).
We had a horrible night and I will never be back!

I attended a work function here and I was really impressed. The waitress looking after us was very polite and professional. She remembered what everyone was drinking in a function of about 50 people. Even when we moved around in the area she managed to bring the right drinks to people.

Food was tasty and the decor upstairs in the Sun Bar was great.

    I'll definitely be back!

I attended the Freestyle Cocktail Sessions here and loved the location, staff and overall vibe. The view onto the harbour is beautiful, and the interior is orange lit and comfortable. On this particular night there were ten bartenders competing with unique cocktails, but Cargo's mixologist Stewart Luk definitely had the best drink of the bunch. Service was efficient and friendly. Cargo would be a great place to start off a night with a couple of drinks when hitting the King St Wharf strip of bars.

sweet joint situated on Darling Harbour's King St Wharf Promenade. They will have your food ready in minutes depending on what ya get. Happy hour Fridays for work drinks...couldn't ask for more.

I was invited to a Cocktail making course at Cargo Bar to celebrate the International Cocktail Week (I didn't know it even existed!) celebrations (6-13 May). I was extremely impressed at the set up from the moment I walked into the Cargo lounge. Tables were set up with bottles of liquor, mixers, strainers, ice, a chopping board, lemons and limes and other mysterious bottles of goodies.
I was then warmly welcomed by our host Stewart Luk- one of the main bar tenders at Cargo and also 2009 Bartender of the year.
The two cocktails we were taught included the Pear & Caramel Daiquiri and the Coffee & Citrus Martini. We mixed, pear Puree with Ron Zacapa and homemade Caramel syrup and other ingredients which I would never be able to replicate at home! The Pear & Caramel Daiquiri was a favourite of mine and I proudly presented mine iwth a thinly sliced piece of pear on the top. After our course we were treated to taste other items on the cocktail menu- favourites of mine included the Watermelon & Rose Sling and the Passion & Apple Cooler.

Overall, this was a great way of introducing the new cocktail menu at Cargo- I will be hoping my office considers this for their next team building exercise!

I still need to learn to make a Mojito!

I've only been to Cargo bar a few times, but it has a very flexible atmosphere. For example, it's a great place to pop by for drinks after work, party hard late into a Saturday night, or enjoy a few cocktails with friends early in the the evening. I particularly enjoy the 100% chocolate cocktail- devine!!

I went here last night for dinner and shared the pumpkin and fetta pizza, Greek Salad and Lamb Salad with friends and it was all very delicious! They claim to have your $20 meal ready in under 20 minutes and it took only 10! Very impressed!

My bar of choice. A buzzing and lively bar on any night of the week. The crowd is great but it can get crowded and hot on a saturday night upstairs. Always great for a lively dance and drink with friends.
