Booked a Sunday afternoon table for 2. Given the corner table. Not a bad view!Food came out well presented and of a very high quality. Started with oysters They came put fresh and went down beautifully. For mains my partner had the John Dory
As it came reccommended one of us was game to try it. She rated the best food she has ever had.Salmon was soft, flakey and near perfect. Although it is a little pricey, we would love to come back soon. A wonderful place and great food. It will be highly recommended and well done to the kitchen. You deserve it.

Food was great, service and location was excellent but I found it way too pricey. I expected being in Kiama and next to the ocean that they're seafood would be cheaper. Just to give you an approximate, there was 2 of us, we had 3 x dozen Kilpatrick Oysters, Salmon, Creme Brulee and 2 x drinks and it came to $190.

I don't know if I probably just don't go to very expensive restaurants but I found this very expensive...nonetheless I would definitely still recommend it to friends!

I have been to many seafood restaurants in South Coast but none absolutely compare to this one. I really hope people don't read this and discover our favourite restaurant. Small, simple and not too crowded!
I usually go for the snapper but last time I tried the blue eye trevalla, absolutely divine. My partner had the Ocean trout. You are not going to get better-cooked fish in Wollongong.Always fresh!!!A good wine selection, efficient service. It rocks !!!

We went to cargo's with a group of friends whilst staying in Kiama for the long weekend. We booked it despite the high prices hoping that the food would be worth while and because of the gorgeous location.
We immediately realised that we may have made a mistake when there was hardly anyone dining there on the Saturday night of a busy long weekend!
My husband and I ordered the seafood platter for two as I love Morton Bay Bugs and he likes Oysters. The dish was $90, more then we usually would pay but it was a special occasion and we thought "what the hell!", especially since it was for both of us with both of our favourites.
The platter then came out to us with no Morton Bay Bugs. We asked the waiter who explained that they had run out earlier that day. I was disappointed and annoyed that they didn't advise us earlier, but didn't worry too much as it was given that if the main part of the platter wasn't served then they obviously wouldn't charge us full price.
When the bill arrived we were very suprised to see that the full $90 for the platter had been charged. We asked the waiter to revise this and were swiftly told by a different, very rude waitress that the chef had added scollops to the platter and therefore we still had to pay the full price. I thought it was obvious to anyone that 4 scollops (market value approx 30c ea) could not replace Morton Bay Bugs (approx $7 ea!) and asked to speak to a manager. The rude waitress abruptly advised that there was no manager and that we should just pay our bill or they would call the police.
I asked for our original waiter back as he was quite nice and understanding, and had been the one that I was dealing with in the first place, but the rude waitress would not leave and would yell inappropriate comments. After being forced to yell back in order to be heard I simply told her that we would prefer not to deal with such a rude person who was so unprofessional. In the end they were very reluctant to give us a round of drinks for free (which we would have been more then happy with in the first place) and told that the waitress would not give us her name so that we could contact the manager at a later date.
I must say that the food was very nice and may have been worth the price if it came with the same level of service. I have never heard of a restaurant not having a manager onsite to sort out such issues, especially on a Saturday night. But I must give credit to the other two wait staff who did their best to make up for the one extremely, rude person.
Overall, was overpriced for the service we received and will tell anyone who will listen to never go there.
