Within 3 years my daughter went from the 2nd lowest level to the highest offered at the pool - Shark! I find the program to be so well designed that I wouldn't go anywhere else. The kids actually learn how to swim properly and with the emphasis on technique, they are set up for life with the ability to do all strokes not only properly, but efficiently. I have tried other swim schools but I won't be going anywhere else. My first impression was that it was very professional and this hasn't changed. Teachers are well trained in the levels, classes start on time and the same skills are taught regardless of whether there is a relief teacher in the water. My 3 children are routinely assessed by a supervisor who is always on pool deck, and I have never had any difficulties getting an extra assessment if I request one. Also, on many occasions, I have seen the supervisor pull out children from classes to do one-on-one work them in another lane. I know my money isn't wasted because my children move up the level as soon as they can do the skills of the level they are in. I highly recommend the swim school though it doesn't always suit children over 10 who have very little swimming ability (they would be put in the same class as the younger children with the same set of swimming skills, which could make them feel embarrassed).

After almost three years and close to $6000, my children still can not swim too well. My youngest spent close to two years in the same level and the teachers only gave a crap once I decided to pull them out. There is no regular assessment, and too many kids in the classes to give enough attention to the kids needing help. Really disappointing that my youngest still doesn't even know how to swim and take a breathe, after almost three years!!!
As far as I'm concerned it's about making money, not about moving the kids up through the levels and then out. And as my husband used to teach when he was younger as did his sister, I know that kids can learn to swim within a few months.
I suggest you look into other swim schools because at Carlile you will be paying for years and your children will not be learning a thing.
