I've been to Cassa Bella a few times now and had lots of vaieties of food, calamari, steak with mushroom sauce, salads, my husband always has their burger, desserts, I also came here for lunch with my girlfriend and our kids and I love the fact that they have heaps of high chairs available. Kids menus were very generous, big portions and the food was good, kids finished their meals which tells me the food must have been good :)
Overall I would say Cassa Bella is a nice restaurant, we will be going back for sure, I have never had problems with staff and I have been going there for the last 2 years.
My food was always full of taste, nicely plated and served properly. It is a good place to go when you are in Northland, because it is the only restaurant outside the foodcourt and gives you a feel of dining outside the shopping center.

I had lunch here on a Saturday as I was shopping with a friend at Northland, and it seems to be the only restaurant around - the others in Northland are more of the food court variety. It has nice modern decor and the tables are spaced apart appropriately. The service was prompt and efficient and the menu extensive - perhaps too extensive - and a little all over the place - there's a section for entrees, mains, pizzas, pastas, focaccias, etc, etc - so many different sections - I had to flip through several times to get a grasp on everything on offer (wouldn't hurt for someone to spell check their menu too!). I finally decided on the calamari served on a Mediterranean salad as I didn't want anything too substantial, and unfortunately ALL the focaccias on offer are served with chips. But the bowl of food I received was HUGE. The calamari was ok - could have done with some more seasoning perhaps - and the salad was good too, although the bulk of it was mixed lettuce. I ended up eating about half of it - there was just too much in the bowl. If you're after quantity, then this is definitely the place to go, but as for quality, well, it wasn't great, but it definitely was not bad. My personal preference would be to get less in quantity but up the quality a bit. A standout winner was the cappuccino!

The first time we went to Casa Bella the food was bad. There was plenty of it, but it was so bland. My partner had a steak that was overcooked and they used cheap meat. The pasta was gluggy and the pizza was definitely nothing special. We tried it again one night after the movies and it hadn't improved. I'm not even going to think about a third time!

Overall: bland food, poor quality ingredients, poor-average service.
My partner and I had a really bad experience with this cafe (we don't usually have issues with restaurants we go to, and never to this level). We discussed afterwards and rated it our worst dining experience and will never be going back. Admittedly we arrived for lunch on a weekday (Friday 19th Feb) so we assume the kitchen was on low staff and we only tried a couple of their meals. Service was poor - we were standing for a while waiting to be seated in a largely empty cafe, including while the two visible staff chatted at the bar). We ordered the bruschetta each and a vegetarian pizza to share. The bread used for the bruschetta was too thick, mostly burnt on one side (on the bottom as though we didn't notice), untoasted on the other (the visible side); one of my partners slices was very stale. No garlic; no olive oil (the "toasted" bread ended up soggy). The tomato was tasteless (the cheap supermarket tomatoes that are prematurely "ripened" using gas; there was almost no basil visible/discernible; used red onion to bulk up the topping. The balsamic reduction was "decorative" but not good. The service was rough - most of the topping on mine was knocked off by the waitress's dumping the plate on the table. I felt like going out the back to give them some basic tips on making bruschetta o.O
Then we had the vegetarian pizza (I forget the specific name). The very top was overcooked, the filling underneath undercooked. Again the ingredients were poor (though my partner liked the base). I ended up grabbing a piece of potato off the top as a last item (I couldn't finish the meal) and that was a bad choice. It tasted old/stale.
We ended up laughing about how bad it was and going out for sorbet.
I can only assume their main chef was not on shift when we were there.

as the owner im shocked that this person has had so much to say.
ive never had some one complain that the entire meal was burnt not tasty supermarket bought. the only thing i could think was this has to be someone who has a restaurant nearby which my restaurant has effected and wants to give me a bad name.
yes every now and then my chefs might make a mistake, by no means will i say they are perfect but if every meal was that bad trust me customers are not stupid. i would have gone bankrupt years ago. instead we are one of the busiest restaurants in preston and Surrounding areas.
what i dont understand if you had so much problems with ur food why didnt you ask to speak to a manager. if you had of trust me it would have been fixed and you would not have been charged for the entire lunch that you had. but you didnt so this tells me you have too much time on your hands. like i said we are like every other restaurant in the world we do make mistakes but you have taken it to another level
