Speech Pathology for children and adolescents in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.

Catherine Downs Speech Pathology provides speech therapy services to children and adolescents experiencing difficulties with speech, language, literacy, auditory processing and social communication. Catherine sees children from throughout the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, including; Randwick, Clovelly, Coogee, Alexandria, Bondi, Waverley, Maroubra, Pagewood, Botany, Chifley, Mascot, Rosebery, Kingsford and Kensington. 

Each intervention plan is play and relationship based and  is individualised for the child. Assessment and therapy can be conducted in the clinic, home, preschool or school depending on the needs of each child and his/ her family. 

Catherine Downs (Founder & Director) holds degrees in both Speech Pathology and Psychology. Catherine is Government approved (FaHCSIA) to deliver speech pathology services to children diagnosed with an ASD (HCWA package).

Catherine has completed the 3 day Introductory Training ("The Action is in the Interaction") on the DIR® / Floortime� approach to intervention. This approach is based on The Developmental, Individual Difference & Relationship Based Model developed by Stanley Greenspan MD, Serena Wieder, PhD.
