With its origins tracing back to the 1960's, CB Financial has a long history of providing corporate and personal financial services in Queensland and, more recently, other states. Formerly known as Corporate Benefits the company changed its name to CB Financial in 2004 following a significant change of ownership and introduction of a broader business initiative.

Influencing this change has been the introduction of SRJ, Chartered Accountants & Business Advisers and Lance Milham as significant shareholders. They join David Gunthorpe, a founder of the company who continues to focus on financial advice and relationship management with core clients and strategic alliances.
