I started going to this store about 3 years ago. However due to the rude management and food not being great, i stopped eating there for about 2 years. Recently this year (2014) i decided to give them a second chance yet was still not satisfied with their service and product. I do not recommend this store at all.
This has been our favourite fish & chip shop in the area since it opened but over the last 18 months it has really gone down hill. The chips are french fries, the grilled fish doesn't come with seasoning and is tasteless...so disappointing. The Greek salad is usually good.
Food is good, but the management is incredibly rude to both customers and other staff who are working with them. I have been in the shop several times to hear the management belittle the staff. Certainly won't be going back here again.
We have been to CGB several times, however will never go back. The food is very good and I have no complaints in this area. However, the service you receive from this place is appalling. The management/staff are very rude and forget about asking that something be removed from a burger, as you will be told that it will be made the way it is stated on the board. Tooread more
We have enjoyed fish & chips from CGB a few times but won't ever go back again. Admittedly, the food is good but the management were rude to my husband every time they picked up our order. We have quite a few other options for fish & chips in our area and will happily frequent a more friendly shop.
CGB Fish & Chips is okay but the shop is never open. I'm not too sure how a takeaway shop remains a viable business when they are never open for trade. Quite seriously, I would estimate that 60% of the time I have tried to get food from CGB I get a recorded message saying they won't be open. I've officially given up - I'll just go to Pink Salmon from now on.
