Love it, Love it, Love it. Have you got the message. My T bone was of number one quality. I believe a good staek needs no sauces or garnishes. The cooking of the meat speaks for itself, I like my steak rae done. You got it right. Thankyou.

THE most amazing steak I have EVER had! The only problem, the service. We had a bottle of wine but they kept it else where and our glasses were empty most of the time, we had to try and constantly get their attention for a top up. Totally agree with what the person below said regarding a big group versus a table of 2. Amazing menu, great atmosphere, if the service was at the same level as everything else, this place would be perfect!

    Boooh Cha Cha Char!!!
1st visit they messed up our reservation and we had to wait 45 min before being seated. The management did not bother to apologise.
2nd visit I found a hair in on my plate. All 3 of us did not finish our meals due to this. The management acknowledged and apologised and did not charge of my meal only. We were presented a bill for the other 2 meals. At the exit the management clearly ignored us and looked away.
On both occasions the management was arrogant and aloof.
Twice bitten.....I shall never visit this restaurant again and definitely do not recommend it. The food was ok, but the attitude spoilt it on both occasions.

    Fantastic!!
The service was great- Thanks Bonnie- the food was awesome and great wine list!
although the place was busy and a waiter rushed by swearing, i did kind of giggle at him.
I was seated straight away and was served very quickly. I received my meal - prawn taute -entree - and followed by a Eye fillet steak cook to perfection. I did find the Beetroot salad to be salty but other than that it was truly a fantastic meal.
This is the sister restaurant to Jellyfish and i will certainly be back to both restaurants. Well worth the experience. thanks a lot Cha Cha!

    Fantastic!!
We also had the half Cha Cha Char and Jelly fish menu, and we got crab for entree and steak for main, and everything was just perfect! My rib eye on the bone just melted in my mouth, the taste was amazing and it was the best steak I have ever had!! Service was prompt and fantastic, our waiter was extremely friendly and made us feel very comfortable, and we had no long waits on any of our meals!! I highly recommend this to any one, fantastic service, amazing atmosphere and views and the most delicious food, it is worth every cent!

Went there when the menu was half Cha Cha Char, half Jellyfish. I had fish, my husband had steak, and both were excellent!!! (Best fish I've ever had).

Great service, great food, and great atmosphere. My partner took me there for a celebration dinner and it was a really nice experiance, good variety of drinks and the quality of food was awesome. It is right on the pier overlooking onto the river with the underground parking directly beneath!

We may have had a slight wait, but the staff were great to us and the food was superb. My choice of steak was faultless. The side salad did leave a bit to be deserved, but the night as a whole was really good.

Cha Cha Char has to be the most over-rated restaurant I have come across in years. Admittedly the steaks are OK but the service is simply appalling in my opinion. If you are with a large crowd, making a lot of noise and presumably charging it all on expenses then you get good attention. On the other hand if there's only 2 of you, then forget it!!! 20 minutes after stitting down before we got our pre-dinner drinks. Another 30 minutes for our first course and then a further 45 minutes for our steaks. In between we had to ask 4 times for my 16 year old son to get another coca cola. Obviously not a lot of money to be made at our table and so we were simply ignored.

To summarise - avoid at all costs unless you enjoy being ripped off.

These guys are serious about steak, so much so the steak choices are listed in a separate menu. Study it closely and learn the weight, feeding methods and breed of your chosen dinner. There’s seafood, chicken and duck on the menu too, plus some vegetarian options, but just about everyone is here to try the award-winning steak.

The awards just keep coming for this Eagle Street institution, and as anyone serious about steak knows, this is the mecca of beef in Brisbane. Former Essex lad Jamie Farrugia brings a depth of culinary knowledge, having worked for Michelin-starred spots in London and Dublin. Owner John Kilroy’s passion for beef is evident on a menu which lists meat according to region, feeding style and age. Vegetarians will find something to satisfy too. This is a favourite haunt of city suits, with its stylish interior, low ceiling fans and windows offering bird’s-eye views of the river.
