The word "Chanoyu" means Japanese Tea Ceremony in Japanese. The Chanoyu Natural Beauty & Spa is a traditional Japanese tea ceremony room inspired Day Spa located on Smith Street, Collingwood just 10 minutes away from the Melbourne's CBD.

Chanoyu Natural Beauty & Spa offers a range of unique and exotic treatments that blend natural and traditional therapies which emphasise the Eastern philosophy of inner health and outer beauty.

    I must admit I was a bit sceptical when I first walked up to Chanoyu spa, as it is essentially one room only, above a Japanese restaurant. HOWEVER (and it is a big however), I had a a fantastic experience there. Both Anne and Hoi Ting are clearly very sweet people and dedicated to customer service. The actual treatment (1 hr massage and 30 min facial), which I received from Hoi Ting, was heavenly. I am always a bit wary when I receive what I term "beauty therapist massages" as I regularly attend remedial massage and have many muscle complaints - but this was truly relaxing, with good technique used. I never felt rushed at all. I am already a fan of POLA products so I knew it would be a good facial. I highly recommend Chanoyu spa. The service is second to none and you don't get any of the snobbery - or pushy after-therapy sales - that the big, "lush" spas have.

    My sister and I had a wonderful experience at Chanoyu Japanese massage and spa in Collingwood. We started out with dinner downstairs at the Japanese restauarant and then went upstairs for our pampering!
    Anne and her collegue gave us both a very invigorating and thorough massage, i've never had such a stimulating head massage before! We also had deep cleansing and purifying facials which we loved! Anne and her collegue were so gentle, lovely and sweet. The little place is cosy and personal! I recommend Anne and her Chanoyu massage place to anyone!

    Words cannot describe the place I was taken to in the hour&half I went to visit Anne!
    I had the relaxation massage, facial and foot massage.
    I have had a lot of massages in my life so far, being a trained therapist myself, and I can honestly swear that her style was the most relaxing I have ever experienced. Pressure was perfect, speed, flow and time spent in each area was just spot on. She's fantastic.
    The facial ended with a lovely facial massage which topped it all off.
    Warm towels over your back at the end to re-envigorate was a divine, cloaking feeling.
    I would definitely recommend Chanoyu to anyone who asks and will definitely be back

    After a 3.5 hour drive to Melbourne, spending 2 hours of pampering with Anne was absolute bliss!! I had the 30minute aromatherapy massage and 75 minute Sakura Veil facial and both were fantastic! What I loved most about Chanoyu Spa was that there was never that feeling of being rushed through and the personalised service was brilliant! As a beauty therapist myself, I sometimes find it hard to relax, switch off and enjoy the treatment for what it is, but at Chanoyu Spa I found it very easy. Will absolutly be putting it on my list of things to do when visiting Melbourne!! Am also a big fan of Pola Skincare!

    From the moment you walk in Anne makes you feel special. So professional and takes great pride in her work. I booked my appointment based on the reviews on this website and I was not disappointed. I can guarantee you won't be either. Better than any of the larger spas I have been to in Melbourne. Anne is fantastic!

    I highly recommend Chanoyu Natural Beauty Spa. The treatments are fantastic and the environment is comfortable. Spending time in Anne's beautiful hideaway, inspired by a Japanese tea ceremony room, is an escape from the busy outside world. My manicure was perfect.

    I just love coming here, everything is so perfect. I sometimes feel intimidated in beauty salons but Anne is so lovely and friendly, she really makes you feel special. The treatments are world class and the space is cosy, and the prices are very reasonable. I can't get enough!
