I had a really great time in Charlie bar this weekend. My 3 girlfriends and I went for a cocktail upstairs in the sable lounge, and got terrific service. The waitress seated us, brought us a menu and recommended a cocktail for me and my friends.
We each had a pacific 55, which was made from vodka and pineapple juice and lime on the balcony.
The view was very nice. We then looked at the tapas menu, where we ordered some churrizo, olives and bread and later some spanish churros with chocolate dipping sauce and strawberries.
I would definitely recommend the Sable lounge for groups of people, especially groups of girls.

I know a lot of people like this place, but I just couldn't get past how bad the bar service was on the day I went. Hope that's not normal for them. Slow drinks, wrong drinks, drinks delivered to the wrong table. Not great. Opens out onto street and water views - so that part was ok.

Really groovy place - it markets itself as having meals etc but when we arrived at 6.30pm it was effectively a bar and there was not enough seating. So, if you're looking for a good bar or venue to watch the footy, this should be one of the destinations on your list if in Manly. If looking for dinner - perhaps best not to try on a Saturday night!
