A small litte restaurant that is not easily seen from the main road (Brighton Road), but now that we have found it we will definately be going back. The service was fast, friendly and the food was brilliant. We tried the chef's special which was a choice of 3 curries, with chicken ticka, naan bread and rice. Was fantastic and great quality and just the right amount of food too. We left full and pleased with our dining experience. Also tried an entre that was excellent, and along with 4 drinks only cost us around $75.. Highly recomend to anyone looking for good quality Indian in a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. -

We stumbled across Charminar when searching for a cozy curry spot. I was very impressed.
Since moving to Oz, I'd not seen many restaurants that didn't have the low-rent numbers on tables, order-at-the-counter style of "service". Charminar was a delightful change! We were seated in a tastefully decorated, beautifully lit little restaurant, water was poured for us, our orders taken quickly by a very gracious server.
We ordered samosas, tandoori-cooked pressed lamb rolls (I forgot the name!), rogan josh, saag paneer, and a bit of naan. Delicious! A ton of food, plus wine and beer, for under $55. Generous, gorgeously presented servings and the food was dead on to my favorite Indian places on New York and San Francisco.
I highly recommend these restaurants to anyone looking for a tummy-warming curried treat. We will definitely be going back! -

I have been going to Charminars for over 2 years now and it is still the best Indian food I have tasted. I wish I knew their secret recipe for Butter Chicken or their famous Rogan Josh. Sometimes I grab take away on the way home and the kids love it and their is never any left overs - dam! I wish they could cook for me every night. Mmm yum -

Mmmm what a fantastic little low key Indian restaurant! Perfect for a lunch time meal at only $8 or for a banquet dinner with family or friends. A real communucal eating opportunity with lots of different dishes to suit everyone and plently of side serves of naan bread and raita and roti. We ordered way too much food and ended up polishing the lot. Excellent affordable prices with a lovely atmostphere and super friendly staff. An excellent place for a lovely meal.
