I went into the chemist warehouse as I was going overseas the following day and I needed to pick up some cream for my 12 year old brother who was already overseas and had some minor infected scratches from coral.I went to the back to ask for some advice on a good cream stating I understood I didn't have a prescription I just needed something over the counter. The pharmacy assistant went to ask these two young female pharmacists at the back who then came over to me and berated me, 'you need a presciption, there's nothing we can help you with' when my friend came over to see what all the fuss was about they rolled their eyes at us. I was being very polite but I simply turned around in disgust, it was so unnecessarily rude. They did not even want to help or offer any advice. Luckily one of the nice older ladies saw how upset I was and followed me out asking if she could show me to the first aid section, she then directed me to an entire aisle filled with non presciption creams which was exactly what I needed. She was lovely but I was completely shocked at how rude and unhelpful these two young pharmacists were, seriously get some customer service training chemist warehouse.
Yes, it's a warehouse. It actually used to be a Blockbuster, but Blockbuster moved to a different shop in the same strip. Anyway, it feels a bit dark and the aisles are a bit crowded, but the price is right. My usual chemist is elsewhere but if I just need to drop in for a specific item, I know it will be competitively priced. Cashiers are quick and the place is always busy.
The first and last time I went to this pharmacy was to get some Zantac for my pregnancy heartburn.
The refused to sell it to me. Dear Chemist, I had been taking Zantac for months as my obstetrician had told me to take it and now you tell me you're not going to sell it to me?
Coles sold it to me and your pharmacy has lost all of our family's business forever.
